Unity Committee for Karen Armed Groups (UCKAG) Offered Free Services of Mobile Eyes Surgery Program in Doo Yaw Township

UCKAG provided a free mobile eye surgery program from 22 October to the 1^st of November 2023 in Auk Yay Takon Buddhist Temple, Doo Yaw Township, Hpa-An District.

The eye surgery program was led by Saw Gay Htoo, the Joint Secretary of Hpa-An District, Head of the Department of Organization and Information, Padoh Naw Shee Wah, Brigadier General Saw Dee Kwe Htoo, leaders of Doo Yaw Township. Doctor Nay Hser and his team performed the surgery.

There were 748 eyeglasses, 224 eye surgeons, and about 1,150 patients examined in the program.

Approximately 1,150 patients were examined as part of the program, and 748 people received eyeglasses and 224 had eye surgeries.
